Renewal In Christ Ministries: About Us

     Now that your inquiring mind has chosen this site, you may want to know just who is Renewal in Christ Ministries; what does RICM have to offer; and where is RICM located. RICM is an ecumenical ministry based in East Moline, IL. After being in the Charismatic Renewal for ten years, Father Gary Dalmasso, an Episcopal priest, and his wife, Judith, founded and incorporated Renewal in Christ Ministries in 1987. The intent of this ministry is to bring renewal to the Church; to teach about the Healing Ministry and to pray for healing; to equip and to empower men and women for the work of ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit; and to teach about the Holy Spirit and all His gifts.

    Just where does this equipping and empowering happen? RICM provides two avenues for this purpose. RICM offers Renewal Weekends in various parts of the country eleven months of the year (July is a home month). These renewal weekends begin on Friday evening and end on Sunday afternoon. RICM provides an environment where healing in all its forms, physical, spiritual, and emotional will take place; where teaching will occur with a time for questions and at times, application of the teaching; and where worship is central to the weekend. The Lord has blessed RICM with six very talented and gifted worship leaders: Kathleen Thomerson, Father Ronald Drummond, Matt Everett, Skip and Cindy Clarquist, and Linda Sandberg. Praise and worship in all its forms whether it be dancing before the Lord; shouting His praises; submerging one's self in the silence of His presence; or singing with all one's heart is encouraged.     The second avenue of equipping and empowering that RICM provides is Parish Missions. These come in a variety of shapes and sizes depending upon the parish, its needs as discerned by the priest in charge and the congregation. These can be nightly meetings or a weekend event. RICM desires to ignite a parish, not inflame it!

    Besides the worship leadership of Kathleen, Fr. Drummond, Matt, Skip and Cindy, and Linda, there are many volunteers who are integral to the ministry of RICM. Alvin Spencer, David Lattan, Greg Rannazzisi, Andrew Petta, Ruth Connolly our engineers and intercessors, travel to many of the renewal weekends, working before and after, setting up and taking down the equipment. In each area of the country where a renewal weekend happens, there is a core of committed men and women who join and support this avenue of empowerment. Without them and the many intercessors for RICM, these Renewal weekends and parish missions would not be possible.
