RICM’s Five Trips to Holland during the 1990’s

Sometime in early 1990 Father Gary and Skip Clarquist visited Father Gary’s seminary in New York City, NY. They had a friend at General Theological Seminary (GTS) named Shirley Andrews whom they desired to visit. Shirley had been part of RICM’s prayer and praise group in Illinois when she was called by God to the Priesthood and entered GTS. Shirley wanted Father Gary to meet Martin Parmentier who was a guest professor from the Netherlands teaching at GTS on the early church Fathers but who also was interested in the Healing ministry. It was at this gathering that Martin, after consulting with a key person in Holland, issued the first invitation to RICM from the CWN. Martin was a part of a national organization called the CWN that is made up of a number of denominations. It is the Charismatic Association of the Netherlands. Shirley went with us on that first conference at the DeBron Conference Center in Dalfsen, Holland. The fall conferences have a great attendance of between 800 and 1200 people.

1) October 1990 – Team members with Father Gary and Judith, were Shirley Andrews, Cindy and Skip Clarquist.



The ministry was very blessed to be asked back the very next fall of October of 1991.

2) October 1991 – Team members with Father Gary and Judith were Cindy and Skip Clarquist, Giovanna Dalmasso (Judith and Father Gary’s daughter), Alvin Spencer, Estelle Andrus, Larry Harrison, Mary and Dave Lattan, Beverly and Father Jeff Simmons, and Michael Fry who joined us from his seminary in England. Father Harrison and Father Fry are now priests.



Judith and Father Gary received a free trip to Rome from American Airlines in September of 1992. When Martin and the people of CWN heard we were coming to Europe, they asked if they could fly us to Holland for a one day healing seminar. We, of course, jumped at the opportunity and had a wonderful day at the Cathedral of the Old Catholic Church in Utrecht, Holland. We were also able to spend a few days with Martin’s family.

3) September 1992 – One Day in Utreck. Judith and Father Gary Dalmasso



The CWN made a special request of RICM to do a special conference for the leaders - one that would be smaller (300 people) - to learn more about ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit. This was a tremendous conference.

4) January 1993 – At Debron. Thursday to Sunday. The members of the Team that accompanied Father Gary were (his daughter) Taryn Dalmasso, Cindy and Skip Clarquist, Alvin and Brenda Spencer, Mary and Dave Lattan, Larry Harrison, Anita Robinson, Ginny Collins, and Edith Wrangoski.

The last invitation that RICM received in the 90’s was for the fall of 1994. We were so happy to be going back. The wonderful Dutch people had become such a blessing to us.

5) October 1994 – at Debron. We took our largest Team ever of 18 people. Team members with Father Gary and Judith were Cindy and Skip Clarquist, Brenda and Alvin Spencer, Mary and Dave Lattan, Father Mike and Linda Chapman, Kay and Larry Nelson, Estelle Andrus, Olin Morrow, Kathleen Thomerson, Doris Warren, Anita Robinson, and Ron Barman.

It is difficult to express the tremendous blessing everyone on the Team received each time we would go to these conferences. Father Gary’s good friend Martin continues to be a blessing to him and Judith.
