Renewal In Christ Ministries: Georgia Reflections |

Honey Creek, September 17-19, 2004 by Marge Durr
Dearest Father Gary and Judith,
My fingers could hardly type my loving and thankful words to you on my computer board.....Why? Because they ,too , along with the rest of my spiritual being ,are STILL "reeling " from my powerful "RE-dousing" of the Holy Spirit that I received this past weekend at my 1st RICM, at Honey Creek, GA. Sept. session. In one word, WOW!!!!!
The intention of this letter is to "thank you" both for serving as obedient founders of the magnificent RICM. If you hadn't persevered throughout all these years and stayed so loyal to your calling, the appreciative 45 participants, including myself, might not have been so deeply blessed and magnificently renewed, and delivered at a lovely peaceful woodsy site, along the scenic Satilla River, on a beautiful September day!!!!!
What a perfectly comfortable .......non-intimidating........sacred grounds we all had to meditate on HIS WORD....to praise our Savior, to worship Him with such strong reverent prayer and " heavenly " singing, and then to receive HIS mighty spine-tingling Holy spirit gifts that HE so generously "doused" us. It was oh sooooooooooo awesome!!!!!
I felt so loved as I was wrapped into the loving arms of a Holy-Spirited Community . I didn't want to leave my "cocoon " of unselfish brotherly love shown me.
My intercessory prayers will continue to lift you both up in utter thanksgiving ........PLEASE forge forward........I am forging right along with you!!!!
My love and deep appreciation, Dr. Marguerite Dooley Durr ( " Marge")

Reflections of the Georgia Weekend by Delores Lee What could I say about this week-end that has not been said so many times? I am always excited preparing for a weekend, but I knew this one was special. The topic, "The Ministry of the Baptized" just kept ringing in me. Baptism just gets me so happy inside!! Besides that, I would be celebrating my birthday that week-end. It seems to me it was a coming of age for us all. The talks all built us up to an awareness of the gifts and callings given to us in our baptism, both in water and of the Spirit. We were urged to "Do the stuff" as the early church did. Father Gary reminded us that part of that "stuff" is the equipping of the saints (us) for the work of the ministry. So if sometimes you feel a little self-indulgent enjoying these week-ends so----- much, just remember we are getting suited up for the work to be done. Thank you so much for your prayers and your ministries. We would love to see more of the family at the Georgia weekends. The gnats aren't as big as you may have heard. Besides you will enjoy the azaleas and you won't even notice the no-see-ems. Remembering you all (y'all) with love, some grins and many prayers, Delores

by Mary Donna Kaiser Dear Father Gary and Judith, Thank you for RICM. It is truly a blessing.....a renewal in Christ. You are ministering to the baptized. You are making the army of Christ stronger. We all need the full arsenal of spiritual gifts for the last days ahead. Personally, I was drenched in prayer which gave me inner healing. In my very public career I have received many accolades as well as a few arrows. Unfortunately, it is the arrows that fester and weaken our spirit. RICM helped pull out the arrows and speed up the healing. I think I have skipped a few grades in my spiritual development, plus I feel ten pounds lighter and six inches taller. WOW! God is redirecting my life and giving me a new ministry. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am looking forward to seeing you in September. |
